Promotional Clothing: Getting It Right
If you are going to spend money on promotional clothing or any other promotional or branded items, you need to make sure you are getting the best product in return. Here are just a few things to consider when planning making use of promotional clothing.
Careful Planning
Make sure that you have a well thought out plan, rather than just rushing into having T-shirts made with your company’s name on. You need to find out who your target market is: will they like wearing T-shirts? Are something else perhaps more suitable?
You also need to sit down with a professional and come up with a catchy design or text to accompany your name or logo. If you make boring prints, customers are not likely to be very excited about receiving one of your T-shirts. Put in the necessary effort and it will be excellent advertising for your company and it will also show customers that you understand their needs.
Practicality
When it comes to promotional gifts, especially promotional clothing, you need to consider the season in which the gifts will be distributed. Designing cool-looking T-shirts is a great idea, but no on will be wearing them in winter! Rather opt for something such as scarves, socks or beanies in the cold season.
Besides taking the season, as well as the age of your target market into account (you cannot expect teenagers to be excited about getting a branded pen), you also need to make sure that the quality of whatever you are giving away is very good. You don’t want customer to only wear something once, only to move it on to the garage swabs!
Choose Professional Help
It is important that you do not endeavour coming up with ideas for promotional clothing yourself. You might have a very clever design, but check with someone who knows about layout and colouring. The colours that you like might not go together as well when printed on a shirt as it looked on a piece of paper.
Also, find a company that you feel understands your needs. Don’t be pushed into something you do not like and make sure the person you are working with is patient in explaining to you all you need to know. The company you choose also needs to be able to deliver products under pressure, as you might often need to get promotional wear in, for example, a week’s time.
If you get the right kind of promotional gift, something that is of good quality and that says you understand your customers’ needs, you are sure to soon get an influx of loyal customers!
